review1-compressor “I’ve always enjoyed athletics; from pole vaulting to capoeira – I’ve loved it all. So, when I was advised that a series of compressed spinal discs meant I should no longer run or lift weight of any kind, I was devastated.

I followed this advice for almost a year, gaining weight, feeling depressed, and living in almost constant pain. Then, through a series of unlikely events, I found myself at Steel Furnace CrossFit.

The Steel Furnace coaches were welcoming and helped me scale early workouts until my technique and strength were adequately developed. Here I am, 2 years later, PAIN-FREE, in the best shape of my life, and so inspired that, I, too, am now a Crossfit trainer. I know I couldn’t have gotten here on my own. review1-compressor “Being a Steel Furnace CrossFit member is like being a goal-oriented exercise junkie surrounded by a bunch of goofy people that encourage you to keep on going so you can reach your fitness goals. As funny as this sounds, it is very similar to reality … Becoming a part of this family has changed my fitness routine in a way that even though I feel like I die at the end of every WOD, I look forward to coming back on a daily basis. And although the results on my body and health are a great encouraging factor, I probably wouldn’t feel the same way if it wasn’t because of the friends that I’ve made that die right next to me on every WOD. I would recommend giving it a try to anyone that is looking forward to improving their fitness or just looking for pals to hang out on Friday night. Ser miembro de Steel Furnace es ser un maniático enfocado en mejorar tu estado físico rodeado de un montón de gente divertida que te anima a continuar para que logres tus objetivos. A pesar de lo comico que esto suena es muy parecido a la realidad. Unirme a esta familia ha cambiado mi rutina de tal forma que a pesar de que siento que muero al final de cada sesión de ejercicios , todos los dias quiero regresar. Y a pesar de que los resultados en mi salud y cuerpo son un tremendo incentivo, la experiencia no seria la misma si no fuera por las amistades que he creado y que mueren junto a mi en cada wod. Ser parte de un grupo como este es algo que le recomendaría a cualquiera ya sea que busquen mejorar fisicamente o solo busquen crear nuevas amistades para salir los Viernes! Si te intriga aunque sea un poco este loco y divertido estilo de vida y te gustaría saber mas acerca de mi experiencia generalmente puedes encontrarme en la clase de las 6pm!
